After completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia, Dr. Hester went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Her training focused on primary eye care, contact lens fitting, ocular disease management and low vision. While she enjoys all aspects of optometry, she is particularly passionate about proactive, preventative eye care. While she values staying current with the latest advances in eye care, her highest priority is to provide a thorough, personalized experience that empowers her patients to take an active role in their eye health. Dr. Hester moved to the Northern Neck with her family and is very excited to call the area home. When she is away from the clinic, Dr. Hester fully embraces an active lifestyle. She enjoys traveling, hiking and skiing. Above all, she cherishes the time she spends with her family, balancing her clinical precision with a deep appreciation for community and the natural world.
